Driving school knowledge tests in the USA
New Jersey
Starting in December 13, 2004, the Motor Vehicle Commission of New Jersey
began giving the driver Knowledge Test via computers through an Automated Driver Licensing Test (ADLT) system, which aims to eventually replace all paper-based tests and all testing agencies.
Agencies that administer the Knowledge Test through ADLTs give 50-question tests, as opposed to the written 30-question Knowledge Test.
California
DMV California offers this practice test as preparation for those who will take their written test. The site also provides an online Driving Knowledge Tutorial.

Oregon
DMV Oregon is required by law to administer examination for drivers applying for license or permit. This examination asks questions about road signs, traffic laws and other information you need to know to drive in Oregon. All information necessary to pass this test is included in the Oregon Driver Manual.
The site provides a facility to test your knowledge with DMV's sample knowledge test. This sample test is provided to show you the type of questions asked on the knowledge test and to demonstrate how the test is conducted in the field office.
Nebraska
Application for a driver’s license in Nebraska is also administered by DMV. Applicants for driver's license in Nebraska are required to complete a data form, a vision test, and in some cases, a driving skills test. They may also be required to take a knowledge test on driving laws and regulations if they are first-time applicants in Nebraska and can't
present a valid out-of-state license. Holders of a Nebraska license that is expired over one year may also be asked to take a knowledge test.
The Nebraska DMV site also provides a knowledge test designed to familiarize you with the format of the driver’s license test on laws and regulations.
