The University of New Hampshire is a great place to work. But if you hope to work at a job at UNH that calls for you to operate a university owned vehicle, you are going to have to pass a defensive driving course so you have a DDC certificate to present with your applications for the job. Fortunately, the University Transit Services of the school has worked in partnership with the Transportation Services Department to host National Safety Council Defensive Driving Courses right on the campus of the school.
This is an outstanding service that the UTS sponsors to help both university personnel who need that certificate and the general public get access to good defensive driving training. These classes are than just an offering provided to make sure that University of New Hampshire employees pass the minimum state requirements to operate a school vehicle. The classes are offered at Horton Hall on the campus of the University of New Hampshire. The classes begin at 8:30 a.m. and finish up at 2:30 in the afternoon.
You should plan to bring a lunch, as the break for lunch is not long. It is a long day to be sure but the upside is that by the end of that day of defensive driving classes, you will leave the campus of the University of New Hampshire with a valid DDC certificate that will serve to get a traffic violation ticket dismissed, points removed from your traffic record or to get your insurance rates down to a manageable level.
